Student Life Outside the Classroom

At GEOS, we love the holiday season.  NYC is simply stunning this time of year.  The Rockefeller Christmas tree and the Lighting Ceremony are truly one of a kind.  It is a live and nationwide televised event and is FREE.  Celebrities from television, the movies, as well as comedians and musicians, including Mariah Carey, Beyonce, the Jonas Brothers, Michael Buble, Ariana Grande, Britany Spears and many more have performed at this special event. New Years Eve in Times Square is also a major live & televised, FREE event.  Drawing millions from all over the planet to congregate there to ring in the new year.

The warmer weather opens up more outdoor activities like The Empire State Building Observatory, Statue of Liberty, Central Park Bike Ride Tours, Brooklyn Bridge, 9-11 Memorial, Circle Line boat tours, Coney Island and the beach.  New York is a walking city.  This means most people prefer walking to driving here.  It is the best way to learn and fall in love with New York City.
