Learn English with our qualified and experienced instructors and caring office staff. GEOS Language Institute is licensed by the New York State Education Department, and all GEOS schools in the USA are accredited by ACCET. These two organizations help us work toward always improving our operations and services. In addition, our school is authorized by federal law to enroll non-immigrant students. What really makes us special is our staff. All of our staff hold university qualifications and may of our staff members have earned a Masters Degree. Here are some short bios of our staff and teachers:
Administration Staff
Michael DiGiacomo, B.M., M.B.A.
From: New York, USA
Michael is the School Manager and, the US Regional Director of Operations. He holds an MBA in Global Management and has worked in international education since 1994. He has taught English in both Japan and New York. He is also the webmaster of this site!
Nobuko Muñoz, B.A., B.S.
From: Ibaraki, Japan
Nobuko is the Operations Manager for New York GEOS. A native of Japan, Nobuko is a graduate from Hunter College with a degree in English Language Arts. Nobuko is our resident database and SEVIS expert.
Briana Raissi, B.A.
From: Connecticut, USA
Briana is our Academic Coordinator and has extensive experience teaching English in Europe and Morocco.
Josh Gilchrist, B.A.
From: New York, USA
Josh is our Program Coordinator and finishing up an MA in TESOL. He has extensive experience teaching English in Europe. Josh is now in charge of housing.
Sarah Kui, B.A.
From: Hong Kong
Sarah is our Regional Marketing Coordinator and holds a BA from CUNY Queens College in Business Administration. Sarah has extensive customer service experience and speaks English, Mandarain & Cantonese.
Silva Lange
From: Germany
Silva is our Local Marketing Coordinator and holds a BA in Marketing. Silvia organizes our student activities and speaks English, German & Spanish.
Geenie Huh
From: Korea
Geenie is our Local Marketing Coordinator and holds a degree in Fashion Marketing from the famous fashion university Bunka Fukusko Gakuen in Tokyo. Geenie speaks English, German & Spanish.
Yalcin N , B.A.,
From: Istanbul, Turkey
Yalcin is our Operations and Marketing Assistant. He has been in New York since 2002 and knows all the hot spots. He is our resident paparazzi and enjoys school trips with the students.
ESL Program Faculty
Dolores (Dee), B.A.
From: New York City
Dolores is GEOS New YorkÕs resident grammarian and most experienced instructor. A CCNY graduate, she has worked extensively in the public school system and taught ESL in a variety of settings.
David, B.A.
From: New York
David has taught ESL in both Barcelona and New York. He holds a BA in English Literature, an MA in Theatre, and a certificate in TEFL. David has appeared on the Broadway stage and is widely published in literary magazines.
Jim, B.A., M.A. (in progress)
From: New York
Jim has experience teaching English in Japan and is a native of Brooklyn, NY. He is currently finishing up a Masters in TESOL degree and has worked at GEOS since 2003
