Every month, GEOS organizes two to three events and after school activities per week for our international students in New York. These weekly activities vary by season.   Hi! My name is Keina and I am from Japan. I was studying at GEOS for 9 months and just finished recently. Before I came to New York I didn't speak English at all, so I started as a beginner in Level 1. I couldn't understand what my teacher was talking about in my class. I had no idea how life is in New York. I always tried to make friends from different countries and so I was able to understand them after a while and we could laugh about the same things. I learned a lot about other countries and cultures and I was really impressed and interested at the same time. I actually realized studying English is fun! I really enjoyed my time at GEOS and made a lot of friends, students as well as staff members and teachers. Finally, guess in which level I finished my course? In level 5!
