Welcome to our newsletter. It’s so sad to say goodbye to the month of July. It was a great month and we had some memorable times. We took lots of photos so we may never forget... but AUGUST IS HERE!!! Summer isn't over yet. I wonder what great moments August has in store.
Again, please keep in touch and join our group! Feel free to insert pictures and share your experiences with your friends. Day after day, our group is becoming more popular. It is always a pleasure to look at all the pictures added. Some of our current students discuss their wonderful stays in New York and at GEOS.
July was full of activities. We went to D.U.M.B.O. (Down Under Manhattan Brooklyn Observatory). If you are not from NYC, it is a promenade on the Brooklyn side of the Manhattan Bridge. It is the place where almost all the great photos of NYC that you have seen were taken or shot. It's a fantastic view of the Brooklyn Bridge & Manhattan Skyscrapers. Really gorgeous.

The Central Park Bike Tour was another activity that stands out in my mind. We rented bicycles and rode throughout Central Park. It was so much fun we will do it again in August. Taking advantage of the summer weather. :-)

Here are the highlights of this month's acfterschool activity program. You can download the full calendar here

GEOS NYC would like to thank the July holiday groups. It really was a pleasure to have you here. We hope everyone comes back again. It's always sad to say goodbye, but you made July, 2009 very special. To the chaperones from these distinguished agencies, we thank you as well. Caring for a large group can be very difficult and to give them the individual attention they deserve may look like an impossible task, but you have made it look easy. Thank you for making July, 2009 a month to remember.
Hi. I'm Hyesook Bae, my friends call me Bella. I'm from South Korea. I came to N.Y. this past January. Before I came to N.Y. I couldn't speak English well.
I have been studying at GEOS for 7 months. I have learned a lot about other countries and cultures. Actually I realized studying English is fun. I really enjoy GEOS and made a lot of friends. I love being here.
It's a fantastic place. ^^
Here's Roger! Roger is our most popular teacher. He currently teaches level 3 (Intermediate Level)
He is originally from Arlington, Texas. It is where the Dallas Cowboys (American Football Team) play and the home of the original Six Flags amusement park.
