MEET OUR STAFF
Say Hi to Michelle! She joined GEOS NY this past summer and specializes in teaching our high level students English in a fun and dynamic way. Read a bit more about her below…

Michelle O'Conell Instructor
Meet Michelle: Hi guys! A little bit about me…I was born in New Jersey but have also lived in Wisconsin, Mississippi, and Maryland. After graduating from university, I moved to China to absorb the culture, language and art, which I love. I lived there for four years teaching English. I feel that my specialty is creating a connection with my students that really helps to make a great atmosphere in class. Of course, I also love to watch my student's progress. When I'm not teaching, you can find me walking my dog in Astoria Park or painting New York's spectacular cityscape.
WHAT IS HAPPENING IN NEW YORK
The Holiday season descends upon Manhattan. And lets face it, NYC knows how to do this time of year like no other. Some of the best ways to spend the season are the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, The Nutcracker, and New Years Eve in Times Square.
1. Radio City Christmas Spectacular: Come watch New York's own Rockettes kick up their heels in style for the season! An all new routine and flying LED screen spice up this year's performance. See them at Radio City Music Hall, from November 7th-December 30th.
2. The Nutcracker: Nothing captures the spirit of the season better than this timeless classic of dance. Create a wonderful memory by seeing it at the Koch Theater, November 25th - December 31st.
3. New Years Eve!: The once in a lifetime 'gotta do it' event takes place again in Times Square. Join countless others to watch the glittering descent of the New Year's Ball and remember forever where you were on December 31st, 2012.

SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
Here a few photos of the fun that's been going on at GEOS NY in December…

We took a trip to visit the legendary tree at Rockefeller center!
Do you want to feel like you are in the movies? Then come to NYC in December…

Bowling for fun, with a little but of competition on the side…

We are visiting the top of the Empire State Building. The weather has been quite good recently, so it was a great clear day to view the city from this historic monument.
